According to a study published in PubMed[1], macamides, which are found in cacao, have been shown to inhibit the enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). This study found that four macamides (N-benzylstearamide, N-benzyloleamide, N-benzyloctadeca-9Z,12Z-dienamide, and N-benzyloctadeca-9Z,12Z,15Z-trienamide) were able to inhibit FAAH. Additionally, a review article published in PubMed[2] states that FAAH inhibitors have potential therapeutic benefits for various health conditions, including those related to the nervous system. Furthermore, a website[3] dedicated to providing information on natural FAAH inhibitors lists cacao as a natural source of FAAH inhibitors.
Stop these bad actors called bacteria from invading your body. Cacao play active role in stopping FAAH which helps feed the bacteria.
