Alterative: herbs which cleanse the blood of toxins, thus altering the blood so it can enrich the blood flow.
Analgesic: herbs which relieve or reduce pain from cramps, spasms or toothaches.
Antiemetic: herbs which stop or relieve vomiting and reduce nausea.
Antipyretic: herbs which disperse fever and other heat conditions.
Candida albicans: a yeast normally found in the gastro-intestinal tract, organs of reproduction and urinary areas of the body. A
Candida yeast over-growth causes harm to our immune and digestive system.
Carminative: herbs which help with digestive problems, especially with peristalsis (A contractual muscle movement of any hollow organ such as the large intestine). Peristalsis allows our bowels to move onward for a bowel movement which will relieve gas.
Cholagogue: encourages the production of bile. Aids in the excretion of bile from the liver.
Compress:a herbal tea wrapped on the body and kept warm

Decoction: herbs which need to be simmered such as roots, barks, berries and seeds
Demulcent: herbs which soothes and moisten.
Dental anodynes: herbs which help relieve pain from exposed tooth nerve.
Diaphoretic: herbs which promote sweating to eliminate toxins through the skin.
Emmenagogue: herbs which promote and normalize menstruation.

Hydrochloric acid (HCL): a secretion of stomach acids which aid in the digestion of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. HCL destroys bad bacteria and parasites. HCL secretion produces B vitamins and good bacteria from food.
Infusion: herbs which are steeped in boiling water such as flowers and leaves.
Inulin: known as a prebiotic which is known to enhance favourable flora in the gut.
Indol-3-carbonol: Indoles improve enzyme pathways which get rid of toxic cancer forming agents. Indole-3carbornol assists the body through metabolism of toxins through phase I and II detoxification enzymes in the liver. These enzymes make toxins water soluble, and water soluble substances are easily removed from the body reducing the risk of cancer.
Foods rich in indoles are: broccoli, cabbage, radishes, turnip mustard greens.
Liver herbs in conjunction with indole-3-carbonol are known to remove excess toxins from our body.

Malic acid: an alphahydroxy acid which is produced in our body and derived from fruit. Malic acid helps relax tight muscles and helps detoxify heavy metals.
Foods rich in malic acid: watermelon, pineapple, apricots, gooseberries, raspberries, cherries, lemons, grapes, prickly pears, mangoes, kiwi fruits, strawberries, blackberries, tomatoes and apple cider vinegar
MSM – Methylsulfonylmethane: Contains 34% sulfur which is important for body fundamentals; hormones, enzymes, antibodies, antioxidants, body and in tissue proteins.
Four major amino acids methionine, cysteine, Cystine and Taurine depend strongly on sulfur.
Sulfur rich foods are: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, kohlrabi and other cruciferous vegetables, red meat, poultry, fish, legumes, egg yolk, onions and garlic.
Nervine: these herbs help strengthen the function and action of the nervous system.
Neuralgia: a reoccurring pain extending along the passage of one or more nerves.
